Exclusive Interview with Robert Cannon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Robert Cannon.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

I have been in the financial service industry for over 30 years and I have made it my life mission to educate people about their money. I have worked with both super high net worth individuals and the middle class. I have worked very hard to start my firm on the premises of education. I feel that financial education will empower the average person to allow them to make better choices.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

I have seen the dot-com bubble and the financial crisis of 2008. After 30 years of being in the market, I have seen major volatility and bull markets. The biggest challenge is holding the client’s hand during hard times and explaining to them how we are going to be okay because of our plan. If you use the same methods as everyone else, you will get the same results. You need to have a proven method of navigating through hard times.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I help people accumulate wealth and preserve their wealth. The main reason to work with me is two-fold. Number one is experience. I have seen so much in 30 years. Number two is that I am a fiduciary so I must put my client’s interest first. This is a very important point that is often misunderstood in this world of investing. Most advisors are not fiduciaries.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

If you are looking for financial success the best advice I can give you is to have a plan and stick with it.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Financial success comes from daily habits. Once you master the daily habits you will be able to make the bigger decisions much easier. Success means being happy with your decisions and looking back proud of your accomplishments.

I am planning to help as many people as possible with my new podcast and YouTube channel. I am also writing another book about generational wealth.
